• 925 sterling and all other silver types tarnish in time. So the question is; How can we slow it down?
• Contact with water: Not a great idea. But, it is unlikely to do any lasting damage.
• Just make sure to dry it after.
• Swimming Pool: Chlorine is a harsh chemical, so if you accidentally forget to remove your jewelry before taking a dip, make sure to rinse and clean it well afterward.
• Contact with sweat: Chemicals in our bodily fluids accelerates the tarnish process of sterling silver and may leave colored marks on the skin. The best thing to do is to rinse and dry your jewelry.
• Chemicals in lotions and perfumes can also cause silver jewelry to tarnish.
